Success at the Annual Sentinels of Freedom Crabfeed Fundraiser – CoVID Style!
We have a yearly crab feed to benefit the Sentinels of Freedom. The Sentinels are an amazing group that helps severely wounded, post-9/11 veterans transition from military to civilian living. Although this year of a pandemic brought new challenges to the table, we didn’t let that stop us from creating a new way to host this event!
Tickets were sold online and the purchaser was given a specific time to pick up their plates upon ordering. This year’s sold-out event had a menu of 7 layer salad, fresh french bread from Bordenave’s Bakery, pasta with homemade sauce, meats, cheeses, dessert and of course, mouth-watering crab!
The money raised this year will go towards a Sentinel Scholarship that is a 2-4 year commitment uniquely tailored to the specific needs of the scholarship recipient.
A big thanks goes out to all that helped in this event and congratulations to the scholarship winner!
